Rupinder Handa is famous Punjabi singer in the music industry. Born of Kartar Singh Handa and Charanjeet Kaur, this modern-day minstrel calls Sirsa her home. After finishing her schooling and graduation from Sirsa, Rupinder chose the world of music as her calling and has emerged as one of India’s most promising singing prodigies, with a mercurial voice that transcends definitions of range, pitch and notes within the expansive gamut of vernacular music. Rupinder Handa is no overnight sensation. Building on her strengths, she finally ventured into music as a profession in 2006, when she took Punjab and even the rest of India by storm, winning the highly contested and prestigious title of ‘Awaaz Punjab Di’, on the popular MH1 channel. Rupinder build her strengths from this huge laurel and released her first album, Mere Haniyan (T-Series), in 2006. She bested her own endeavors in her second album, Fulkariyan (Audio Touch), released in 2009.
