Jaswinder Singh Bains, more popularly known as Jazzy Bains or Jazzy B is a Punjabi language Bhangra singer-songwriter. He was born on 1 April 1975 in Durgapur, Nawanshahr in tehsil of Jalandhar, Punjab, India. When he was 5 years old, his family moved to Vancouver, Canada. He now resides in Birmingham, England. He is often called the “Crown Prince of Bhangra”. He is a big fan of Kuldeep Manak. Kiss Records of Oldham released Jaswinder’s debut album, Ghugian Da Jorra, in 1993 to great success. Since then, Jazzy B has become the best-selling bhangra artist in the world, touring India as well as Canada, England, the United States, and other countries home to large desi populations. azzy B has released fourteen albums all of which have been produced by Sukshinder Shinda, a talented Bhangra record producer and artist known as ‘The Music Man’. Together they have created some of the most popular Bhangra hits, including “Ghugian Da Jorra”, “Londono Patola” which is still considered a hit since It put the Canada in the bhangra scene, “Naag”, “Tera Roop”, “Sardara”, “Dil Luteya”, “Rambo Rambo”, and “Soorma”. He has been compared Bhangra artist Kuldip Manak, whom he considers a role model.
